► UK-EU Trade & Customs
The BCC participated in Domestic Advisory Group meetings, advocating for better rules of origin, business mobility, and lower trade costs ahead of the UK-EU leaders’ summit on 19 May.

► UK Internal Market Act
The BCC joined a DBT roundtable on intra-UK trade laws, pushing for strong business involvement in policy evaluation.

► UK-EU Trade Barriers
Discussions with Hermione Gough, EU Secretariat Director, focused on BCC priorities for trade barrier removal ahead of the UK-EU reset summit on 19 May.

► Embassy Engagements
BCC met with the Belgian Embassy to discuss trade and the economy, while William Bain, BCC Head of Trade Policy, engaged with the Australian High Commission and EU Mission on the impact of US tariffs.
