Welcome to the February edition of our International Trade Newsletter, bringing you the latest updates on international trade developments from the past month. Stay informed on the vital topics that are shaping the future of international commerce.
On the 31st January 2025 the United Kingdom marked the 5 year anniversary of Brexit and leaving the European Union. As an ongoing process the UK has been working with the EU and the rest of the world to establish new trade relationships, and although some industries have faced challenges other sectors have seen global trade opportunities open which were previously not available.
February started strongly with the successful hosting of a CBAM Masterclass and an ATA Carnet Workshop, both of which received positive feedback. We have many exciting training courses and webinars coming up so keep an eye on our website pages and emails for more information.
Following on from the success of last years event, our International Trade Manager Angela is off to Birmingham at the end of the month for the British Chambers of Commerce Trade Facilitation Forum. This two-day event for UK and International Chamber staff is an exciting collaboration to discuss services and practices across the network and features key speakers from the BCC and the International Chamber of Commerce.
