Incoterms® rules are a set of standards used in international and domestic contracts for the delivery of goods.
Recognised by UNCITRAL as the global standard for the interpretation of the most common terms in foreign trade, ICC Incoterms rules help to avoid costly misunderstandings by clarifying the tasks, costs and risks involved in the delivery of goods from sellers to buyers.
The International Chamber of Commerce is currently offering a free guide ‘National Regulatory Barriers to the Incoterms 2020 Rules’ along with a free Incoterms 2020 wallchart, both of which can be downloaded here.
The guide breaks down the regional nuances that matter, helping traders, lawyers, buyers and sellers of goods, freight forwarders, customs and carriers professionals understand challenges that may arise when choosing the right Incoterms® rule for use in certain countries or regions.
