TRADE UPDATES FROM THE BRITISH CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE

This month's updates from the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC)

►  The BCC joined over 20 EU Ambassadors for a discussion on the experiences of UK businesses with EU trade, and to present our policy recommendations and new findings. Our Director General, Shevaun Haviland, took part in a wide ranging conversation on trade, the economy, and infrastructure. We will be engaging further with the EU Ambassadors this month.

►  They participated in the UK-EU Domestic Advisory Group meeting with other business, labour, and third sector stakeholders to discuss priorities for the year on UK-EU trade and economic relationship issues.

►  The BCC joined the inaugural meeting of the Horizon Europe Participation Systems Group with other business, science and technology stakeholders. Please contact us if you are interested in participating or leading bids for Horizon Europe funding.

►  The BCC joined other business groups to discuss export support with the Labour frontbench Trade team, including Shadow Ministers, Gareth Thomas MP and Tam Dhesi MP.

►  The World Trade Organisation (WTO) Ministerial Conference concluded in Abu Dhabi. The moratorium on electronic transmission of goods/services was renewed until 2026. Read our reaction to the key outcomes from the Conference.
