A look back at our recent Trade Expert Training courses
Many of you benefitted from attending our Incoterms 2020 Workshop last month. This half day session explained the importance of Incoterms, the three letter acronyms used to define risks and responsibilities to buyers and sellers in international trade contracts. We hold this course regularly with the next session scheduled for Friday 15th December, book your place today to help keep your company compliant when trading internationally.
On Halloween attendees on our Export Procedures & Documentation course were in for a treat not a trick as they gained a better understanding on all the basic key areas around exporting including the requirements for documentation. This workshop is accredited and forms part of the British Chambers of Commerce Foundation Award in International Trade. If you are interested in taking part in this course to gain a credit towards the award or just to extend your export knowledge the next session is on Monday 11th December.
November started with our Import Procedures & Documentation Training. Selling internationally can be very complex. In order to help our attendees navigate these complexities this course explored the key areas around importing including documentation requirements, an overview of country of origin and incoterms.
Attendees on our Inward & Outward Processing Training learned about special procedures including the benefits of using Inward & Outward Processing to help keep them compliant. Commonly known as IP & OP, this course looked at the impact of the EU Union Customs Code (UCC).
Upcoming Trade Expert Training
Here are some of our upcoming courses you can attend to help enhance your knowledge on all things exporting, importing and much more from now until the end of the year.
Commodity codes are used worldwide to determine the customs duty and other charges levied on the goods when importing and exporting. Join us on Wednesday 29th November for our Understanding Commodity Codes Training, where you will gain insight into what commodity codes are and how getting them wrong can have a big impact on your business.
Are you a business that moves goods temporarily for example for sporting/entertainment events or trade shows? Then you will want to attend our ATA Carnet Workshop on Monday 4th December. This informative course covers the application process and how to control the use of ATA Carnets, which are essentially a passport for your goods. Attend our Great Britain to the EU – VAT Implications Workshop on Friday 8th December to help you understand the VAT implications if you import and export goods from Great Britian to the EU. It is vitally important that you have extensive knowledge of the rules to avoid penalties including the possible seizure of goods at international borders. On Wednesday 13th December you can attend our Customs Procedures & Documentation Training. This half day session will explore the procedures required when dealing with customs authorities and the information needed for submitting customs declarations to enable goods to be imported or exported. It is vitally important for businesses to understand these procedures to avoid facing fines.
One of our last training sessions of 2023 will be the Export Strategy – Food & Drink Workshop on Thursday 14th December. This workshop will boost your understanding of international regulations and requirements, explore potential target markets, help you to develop an export plan and best practices for managing an international supply chain.
