Food and drink is not only the UK’s largest manufacturing sector but also the UK's success story in terms of exports. With the Government annoucement that the UK’s dairy industry is set to be boosted by a brand-new programme to increase exports, its the perfect time for those in the Food & Drink sector to look at exporting.
The Dairy Export Programme will help UK agri-businesses grow by seizing new export opportunities and exploiting overseas markets for their products through a comprehensive package of export support. This includes an investment of £2 million to boost DBT’s programme of global tradeshows and missions, which will be delivered in partnership with industry and the Food and Drink Export Council.
To help our Essex based Food & Drink businesses excel in exporting, we are holding a sector based Export Strategy workshop on December 14. This workshop has been designed with exporters of all levels in mind. Whether you’re an experienced exporter looking to enter into new markets or a novice hoping to begin exporting for the first time, this course will help you to develop the knowledge and skills you need to succeed.
Richard Bartlett, our Trade Expert course trainer, will be joined by Nicola Thomas who brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in the food and drink sector.
Throughout the workshop, our experts will explore a range of topics related to the export process, including understanding international regulations and requirements, exploring potential target markets, developing an export plan and best practices for managing an international supply chain.
Attendees will also have the chance to discuss the opportunities and challenges associated with each stage of the export journey and receive guidance from industry experts. Upon completion, you will have the knowledge, resources, and confidence to create a successful export strategy.
